Ouroboros is an ancient symbol that has been used to represent cyclicality, unity and infinity. In more modern times, psychologist Carl Jung interpreted the symbol as having an archetypical significance to the human psyche.
The original design was evidently inspired by the Milky Way, which ancient peoples described as a serpent of light residing in the heavens. The Ouroboros has held significance for many religions and mythologies throughout history.
The Ouroboros graphic on this page is from a 1478 drawing by Theodoros Pelecanos, and was originally published in an alchemical tract titled Synosius. The photograph is in the public domain.
The page itself is primarily intended to serve as a place for me to share some of my writing and photography with others conveniently. The critical thinking section is my attempt to outline some of the connections between formal logic and the formulation of well-reasoned arguments.
